Portrait Workshops – All Skill Levels
Come learn the art of portrait painting with Tim!
Tim offers his exciting portrait workshops anywhere anywhere (though Tim prefers warm climates and avoids the frozen tundra). With a lifetime of experience, Tim shares the tools and methods that he uses for his oil, pastel, and charcoal portraits. Workshops range from simple 1-day workshops to week-long (5-day) excursions. Workshops are open to students of all skill levels. One-on-one instruction ensures that everyone gains valuable guidance wherever they’re at skill- and experience-wise. Students come away inspired, focused, and smiling! Highlights include:
- Accommodates oil, pastel, and charcoal mediums
- Develop skills in concept, drawing, values, massing, color, composition
- Drawing from a live model in two 3-hour sessions per day
- Tips on how to ‘finish’ your portrait commissions
- Tim’s exciting approach to outdoor portraits
- Gain understanding of Impressionist color theory and methods of creating light through color
