Oil on Linen

Tim Chambers will guide beginner/advanced students a step-by-step approach to painting a portrait from a live model. Students will begin with drawing or painting (depending on experience) from a plaster portrait bust, and quickly move to working from the live model. Learn how to lay in your drawing, composition, masses, form, structure, character, values, color, likeness, material use, and technique. You can use charcoal, oil, or pastel. Tuition covers the modeling fee.  6 classes.

Tim has been a full-time portrait artist his entire career. You will have much to glean from his experience!

Classes meet at the beautiful Shenandoah Conservatory Academy, part of Shenandoah University, located in the historic district in Old Towne Winchester at 203 S. Cameron St., (at Cork St.).

*There is a $15 material fee payable to Opus Oaks Academy the first day of class OR bring your own materials from the instructors list given the first day of class.
