It’s all in your perspective…

Pro artist Tim Chambers reveals how to draw anything in 3-D at ArtShop:PERSPECTIVE. Tim will teach kids ages 9-18 how to make their drawings look like they’re coming off the page by knowing how to implement the principles of perspective in their work.
Though we see in perspective, it’s quite another thing to be able to draw in perspective. Artists wrestled with this for centuries before Brunelleschi figured it out in the early 15th century. It was an exciting time for everyone, leading Leonardo da Vinci to say “Perspective is the rein and rudder of painting.” In this ArtShop, Tim will explain, step-by-step, how to easily and methodically draw anything in perspective without wearing you out too much!
In ArtShop:PERSPECTIVE, we’ll be covering:
- perspective across art history
- understanding perspective through your eyes
- horizon lines and eye levels
- 1-point perspective
- 2-point perspective
- 3-point perspective
- angles- the trick to draw accurate perspective
- applying the different perspectives to the same item
- art appreciation
- practice tips to continue learning at home until the next ArtShop!
Tim will walk students step-by-step through the three different types of linear perspective. We’ll take it slow, with personal guidance, so that everyone understands the principles. It’s fun to see students’ eyes light up when they grab hold of the concepts. Parents say that this workshop creates the most evident and quickest notable progress in their children’s artwork during the weeks following the ArtShop. The kids are now armed with the understanding to create dimension and space in their drawings- something that artists for ages couldn’t figure out!
ArtShop will run from 9am to 3pm. Cost is low, beginning at only $55 (depending on venue), and includes materials! Tim offers a few tuition scholarships at each ArtShop so that no one need miss out. For more details, visit our FAQs, or contact us. Register below via PayPal. See you there!
